BDS Agenda Flushed Out (and Away) at Canadian University

The BDS movement at Ottawa’s Carleton University suffered a major setback this weekend, when it voluntarily withdrew its proposed student government resolution that would have targeted Israel for divestment rather than agree to support an amended motion that would have called more generallyfor a socially responsible investment policy, without singling Israel out.  In the context of the debate, the BDS campaigners, organized under the name “Students Against Israeli Apartheid”, acknowledged that they did not support the idea of socially responsible investment UNLESS such a policy explicitlyand uniquely targeted Israel for punishment. Quite aside from serving as yet another example of how decent-minded people are successfully standing up to BDS wherever it shows its head, this incident also serves to highlight how far removed from its own progressive rhetoric the BDS “movement” really is.

  1. The political left ideological NDP, are relentless in their activities of resentment and malevolence. Like any bully, they must always be stood up against strongly and quickly. Support for Israel must active and strong, as it is in the fundamental best interest of the western world.
