British-Israeli Film Treaty launch at BAFTA

On 6 December 2011, in celebration of the recently ratified UK-Israel Film Co-Production Treaty, delegations from the British and Israeli film industries gathered at BAFTA to exchange ideas and set the Treaty in motion. The Treaty, an initiative supported by both governments, provides the legal framework for joint British-Israeli film productions, helping British and Israeli film-makers share talent, creativity and resources, whilst also paving the way for co-produced films to qualify for tax incentives in both countries. Israel’s Ambassador to the UK, HE Daniel Taub and UK Culture Minister, Ed Vaizey, joined a delegation of 100 leading personalities from the British and Israeli film communities at the event.
